My latest workout routine,
Lately, I have been on a total health kick, this doesn’t just mean eating well, but it meant adjusting my workout routine too. I’ve become focused on health throughout my entire body, not one specific place. I think one of my last posts was miscommunicated and here is why.
I told my readers I wasn’t focused on diets, that was one of my goals this year, what I meant by that was I’m not going to focus on fad diets. Rather than starve myself for a week or only eating 100 calories every three hours, I am going to focus on good whole foods and count my calories. I want to make it clear, counting your calories and watching what you eat IS NOT A DIET IT’S A LIFESTYLE.
I have really focused on what I am eating and what makes me feel good. On the other side of the is the workouts I have been doing, and I’d like to share with you some of my favorite exercises!
1. Mountain Climbers

2. Kettle-bell squats

3. Planks

4. Russian Twists

5. Walking uphill on the treadmill for 40 minutes
I usually do this full workout routine on Sundays, Tuesday, and Thursdays. Then on Mondays and Wednesdays, I walk for 30 minutes uphill. It has been a lot of work staying motivated enough to do this fitness routine, but it has been worth it. I am starting to notice differences in my appearance and feeling more confident in my body. I realize I will never be model thin, but I will be able to be a good wait for my height and body type.
What are some of your motivation tips for staying on track? What are some of your favorite workouts?
Having a disability totally sucks when it comes to going to the gym. Ah, the Russian one! Know it so well. Cheers,H

I follow a man named Warren Moore on YouTube who shares his workouts sometimes and he actually did say sometimes he gets some funny looks at the gym. I have really bad anxiety, some days I don’t even want to leave the house, so I decided to make a home gym! The point of a good workout is to find what works for you, your mental and physical health! Also the Russian twists sucks. Whoever convinced me to do Mountain Climbers and Russian twists in the same workout routine wanted my abs to explode.

I have anxiety at the gym as well. I do what I feel like that day. Yesterday it was dancing, today, I walked!

It is definitely a lifestyle. If I start thinking it’s a diet, I start losing interest! Thank you it took me a long time to figure out what workout moves worked best for me and my body. If I do a routine I hate I won’t ever stick with it

I found a great workout that’s for 4 weeks – there are food suggestions, the workout w/youtube and motivation. I’m almost done, just have a few days left (although the session is over, David still has it available). I recommend it – and it’s free – see what you think… https://chape.fitness/?s=day+1 (scroll to the bottom for day 1)…

Thank you for these excellent work out suggestions. My husband and I were just talking about making a workout schedule we can do together because we want to get healthier. I do find it hard to have much energy after working a full day and the not so great side effects from a debilitating illness.

I have to work out in the mornings or I just won’t do it. Its always easier to get healthier as a team and not alone especially in a relationship. I’m glad you liked these workouts they work super well for me, but make sure you find exercises that you enjoy doing otherwise it will be hard to want to workout.

Totally agree with you! We need to focus on what works with our lives, schedules, and most importantly ourselves and what we love! I hate fad diets and strict exercise routines. Eat a healthy balanced diet to feel good, have more energy, and nourish your body. Exercise for those same reasons. It is so important to listen to our bodies…it is amazing how strong that mind-body communication becomes when we just pause and pay attention.

I tried so many workouts that I absolutely hate so I never stuck with them and finally I found a few that I enjoyed doing and all of a sudden I liked working out. It truly is about finding what works for us, no body is built the same, and we all enjoy different things. So working out comes with a lot of trial and error. Just have to work through it till you find what works.
